2024 Hoops for Hope-Alive to Thrive Art Contest

Guidelines

The Hoops for Hope Scholarship Award was established in 2023 and is made possible through the generosity of Divine Catering & Events and Marriage Works! Ohio. The award is designed to recognize Dayton area high school students and their artistic abilities while bringing awareness to the need for support for young people who are dealing with mental health challenges.

The Scholarship will reward the artistic and creative talent of a high school student by supporting the financial needs associated with an academic, athletic or arts-related activity within the high school the student will be enrolled in as of the Fall of 2024 or a student planning to enter full-time an accredited college, university or trade school in the Fall of 2024.

We are committed to supporting and celebrating the diversity of talent demonstrated through the work of students in Dayton area high schools and recognize the importance of peer involvement when it comes to successfully supporting those dealing with mental health challenges.

Awards

1- $500 scholarship will be awarded to the student whose design is chosen to be used as the official logo for the 2024 Hoops for Hope Youth Mental Health Awareness Event. The award will be made solely based on merit.

The $500 scholarship is payable directly to the awardee’s high school to be used towards an academic, athletic or arts-related field, or a college, university or trade school for students enrolled to attend in the Fall of 2024. The award will be paid out in one payment and can be applied to fees, equipment, supplies or tuition, room and board, and other costs as determined by the student’s high school, college, university or trade school
