A. Exclusions:

1. In an effort to keep the classroom environment safe for everyone, it is Marriage Works! Ohio’s policy to perform a check of the public court records for all participants prior to the start of class.
2. Exclusions from our services are made for some violent criminal convictions, convictions of sexually based crimes, and active domestic violence convictions.
3. If something of concern appears on a public records check, Marriage Works! Ohio’s Healthy Couples Coordinator will contact you over the phone and will explore with you other programs that can best meet your specific needs.

B. Refunds:

1. Refunds may be requested up to one business day prior to the start of class. No refunds will be granted after the start date of the class.
2. The refund will be provided in one of two ways:
   
   • 90% of the original paid fee refunded.
   • OR 100% of the fee can be applied to registration for a future class.
3. If Marriage Works! Ohio excludes a participant for any reason after payment is made, we will reimburse the participant pro rata based on the number of classes attended.
4. Refunds will be processed within 6-8 weeks.

C. Voluntary Participation:

1. Participation in all Marriage Works! Ohio programs is voluntary.
